Your goldfish is a carp. For some of you, that may seem weird. Isn’t a carp one of those fat fish that swim in lakes, canals and rivers? Yes! Both are true! The carp is an incredibly popular fish among anglers. However, the pretty fish you can often find in ponds and aquariums are also carp! Mainly koi. The carp is very universal. You can even find the animal on fish markets outside of western-Europe.
